Patrick Ward, Founder and President
Patrick founded MetroGroup Realty Finance in 1983 and currently serves as president of the company. Representing a broad and diversified commercial clientele, Mr. Ward has structured and delivered more than $3 billion in commercial mortgage financing through his enduring relationships with institutional correspondent investors. Mr. Ward is recognized by his clients for his creativity and expertise spanning over a 35 year career and several regional and national economic cycles.
In addition to his service as advisory board member of a national bank, Mr. Ward is trustee of a significant real estate trust, founding member of a state chartered bank, and has served on the board of directors of a regional mortgage banking firm. He is active in the regional and national affairs of the Mortgage Bankers Association and serves on the board of several community and civic organizations.
J.D. Blashaw, Vice President
J.D. has made significant contributions at MetroGroup Realty Finance since joining the company in 2012 having originated, underwritten and closed over $300M of income property loans. J.D. will be the principal leader in maintaining MetroGroup’s lender relationships and will continue to oversee the company’s underwriting and closing operations.
Scott Botsford, Vice President
Scott has been active in the real estate capital market industry for over 10 years. Prior to joining MetroGroup Realty Finance, Scott served as Director of Acquisitions & Finance for an institutional real estate investment company. Scott successfully acquired over $250M of real estate assets and directly sourced over $200M of permanent and bridge debt financing. Scott will be directing the origination of stabilized and structured lending for MetroGroup.
Ivan Kustic, Analyst
A native of Croatia, Ivan moved to the U.S. in 2010 and enjoyed a successful collegiate career as a four-time national champion student-athlete at a Division I university. Ivan was recognized by MetroGroup for his natural determination, work ethic, and teamwork. Ivan will be working with the originations team to analyze and underwrite loan requests and prepare mortgage submission packages for MetroGroup’s lenders.
